(OTI), a premier provider of information technology solutions to commercial and government organizations internationally, is pleased to have been notified that its work in partnering with the Florida Department of Children & Families’ (DCF) Sexual Predator Access Team to provide access to the location of childcare facilities in relation to registered sex offenders has resulted in a Certificate of Commendation in the 2011 – Davis Productivity Awards program.
According to OTI Project Manager Jerry Culbreth, “When law enforcement officials are notified that a sexual predator has moved into a community they can access information through the DCF public web portal that shows them every childcare facility within a certain radius of a sexual predator’s address. Law enforcement officials also have access to DCF’s provider database in order to run reports and obtain contact information for those childcare providers.
This year’s Davis Productivity Awards program attracted 584 nominations for innovation and productivity improvements worth $473 million in cost savings, cost avoidances and increased revenue for state government.

Mark Parker recently returned from a 2-week trip to Jos, Nigeria where he helped build a water tower for a children's home near the Kisayhip village. Nigeria is Africa's most populous country around 150 million, of which 8 million are orphans. According to the CIA World Fact Book, 42% of the Nigerian population is under the age of 15. Which means 1 out of every 8 children is an orphan.
"I was sitting in my office last September, when I received an e-mail from a good friend asking if I'd be interested in helping him build a water tower for an orphanage in Nigeria" said OTI Chief Executive Officer Mark Parker. "When I read the e-mail, I just felt like it was something I should do. I have to say, it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life."

Outlier Technologies, Inc. The contract is also referred to as an IT Schedule 70 Award, and will become effective March 1, 2010. Under the GSA Schedule, governmental agencies will be able to order SansWrite software and other services directly from OTI or through the GSA Advantage online shopping and ordering system.
