Development Teams

There are no “B teams” at Outlier Technologies. Our development teams are comprised of passionate people with complementary skill sets, who thrive on finding innovative solutions to our customer’s most difficult problems. Everyone is expected to contribute from day-one, and everyone is expected to get a little better each day.

Opportunities for Professional Growth

We hire people at all career stages, but prefer to hire people who have the potential to grow into larger roles within our organization. We provide opportunities for training and continuing education, but also expect our people to investment in themselves. Recently members of our team have attended the DevConnections Conference in Las Vegas, the MIX Conference in San Diego and the Agile Development Practices Conference in Orlando to name a few.

Work - Life Balance

One of the greatest challenges for passionate people is work – life balance. We understand that emotionally investing in work impacts one’s ability to emotionally invest in life. For that reason, we encourage our people to take time off, go on a vacation or spend time indulging in other interests. We are flexible with work schedules, and provide access to a business psychologist to help our people establish and maintain balance in their lives.

Compensation and Benefits

We compensate our people for the value they provide to our customers. Starting salaries are based on the candidate’s educational and career accomplishments. Salary increases and bonuses are determined by individual and team performance. Our benefits package includes high quality health and dental insurance, retirement savings and access to supplemental insurance.

Travel

With major accounts throughout the United States, our people have many opportunities to travel the country and visit exciting places. Although most travel is limited to one or two-night stays, it’s not uncommon for our people to combine a two-day meeting with a ski weekend in Tahoe or a beach weekend in Miami.

Outlier Time

To promote innovation, you have to give great people the autonomy and time to be great people. Let them do what they do best, and provide financial support so they can see their ideas through. At Outlier Technologies, we know solutions and innovation often come from the outliers; the things others don’t see or choose to ignore. That’s why our people spend 10% of their time focusing on the outliers; finding solutions to difficult problems and being innovative.
